Eleanor Borchard - The United States Air Force Academy
Eleanor Borchard is a standout track and field athlete from Xavier College Prep, known for her dominance in the hurdles and sprints. She broke school records in both the 100m and 300m hurdles and earned podium finishes at the Arizona Division I State Championships. Eleanor also anchored her team’s 4x400m relay to a bronze medal at the Division I State Meet. Her talent, versatility, and leadership have earned her a commitment to the U.S. Air Force Academy.
Allyson Brown - Texas Christian University
Allyson Brown is a dynamic midfielder and senior leader on Xavier’s varsity girls soccer team in the Class of 2025. In the 2024‑25 season she tallied 13 goals and 9 assists over 11 games, ranking her top 2 in AIA 6A Central for points, as well as placing her top‑23 in Conference 6A and top‑116 statewide. She was instrumental in guiding Xavier to a state semifinal victory, earning praise as a vocal on‑field leader who consistently fueled offensive opportunities for her team. She finishes her high school career as a 4x soccer state champion for XCP. In recognition of her excellence, Brown was honored as the 2025 Arizona Girls Soccer Player of the Year and committed to play at Texas Christian University, choosing a major in either biology or business.
Marley Stoller - Marquette University
Marley Stoller is a standout senior sprinter from Xavier College Preparatory, whose senior season showcased her speed and consistency across the 100 m (12.45 s), 200 m (25.32 s), and 400 m (56.13 s), ranking her among the school’s all‑time leaders. She is part of Xavier’s record setting 4×400 relay squad, a team that posted one of the fastest times in school history . Marley earned state‑level recognition in the 400 m, placing third at the Arizona Division I Championships with a time around 57.33 s. Her commitment to continue running at Marquette University in health sciences/exercise science reflects her dedication both on the track and in her academic pursuits.
Will DeSpong - The United States Naval Academy
Will DeSpong has been a standout senior hurdler and sprinter at Brophy College Prep, earning a commitment to run track for the United States Naval Academy. He ranks sixth all‑time in school history for the 110 m hurdles with a personal best of 14.15 s, and eighth in the 300 m hurdles with a mark of 38.79 s. This season he notably earned the Devon Allen Champion High Hurdles Award and delivered top relay performances, including a third‑fastest shuttle hurdle time at the Arcadia Invitational. A driven leader on and off the track, Will has been team captain, excelled in the classroom (National Honor Society), and helped Brophy rank among Arizona’s elite with his tenacious work ethic and scoring contributions across multiple events.
Nero Nuez - The United States Naval Academy
Nero Nuez distinguished himself as a top senior hurdler for Brophy College Prep, winning the Arizona Division I State Championship in the 110 m hurdles with a time of 14.50 s. He also clocked a strong 40.51 s in the 300 m hurdles, showcasing remarkable versatility in the sprints hurdles event. Nero anchored Brophy’s shuttle hurdle relay team to the third fastest time in Arcadia Invitational history, demonstrating his relay prowess and teamwork alongside teammates DeSpong and Alberty. Committed to the United States Naval Academy, Nero’s rapid progression and championship performances reflect his hard work, resilience, and leadership both on and off the track
Darius Alberty - Southern Illinois University Edwardsville
Darius Alberty is one of Brophy’s most versatile athletes in recent memory, excelling across javelin, hurdles, and sprints. He shattered the school javelin record with a remarkable 197‑foot throw and posted elite hurdle performances—culminating in a 39.08 s personal best in the 300 m hurdles and a 14.74 s mark in the 110 m hurdles this season. Alberty teamed with Will DeSpong, Nero Nuez, and Max Columbus to anchor Brophy’s shuttle hurdle relay to the third fastest time ever at the prestigious Arcadia Invitational. Committed to Southern Illinois University Edwardsville for dual events, his leadership as a team captain and relentless drive have made him a standout in Arizona high school track.
Carson Scarbrough - Rockhurst University
Carson Scarbrough has been a standout senior sprinter and team leader at Brophy College Prep, earning a well deserved commitment to continue his track career at Rockhurst University in Kansas City. He posted a personal best of 24.61 s in the 200 m dash at a senior meet on April 9 and helped power the Broncos' winning 4x400 m relay earlier in the season. As a four year program member, Carson was elected a 2025 team captain, known for his dedication always first to practice and setting the bar for his teammates. His strong work ethic, leadership on the track, and steady progression truly exemplify the spirit of Brophy’s athletic excellence.
Ja’Morris Edmonds - Central Arizona college
Ja’Morris Edmonds is Sunnyslope High School’s elite senior sprinter who holds the school’s top marks in multiple events—clocking an impressive 10.68 s in the 100 m, 21.62 s in the 200 m, and a 50.13 s in the 400 m, placing him among the fastest in Phoenix athletics. He anchored Sunnyslope’s state‑qualifying 4×400 m relay team, which posted a season best of 3:24.39, demonstrating his strength and consistency in team events . Ja’Morris also recorded multiple elite finals appearances at invitational meets, including the South Mountain Classic and Rattler Booster, where he ran 11.15 s for 100 m and sub‑22 in the 200 m. His age‑record performances and leadership have made him a standout voice on Sunnyslope’s track & field team and a rising star in Arizona sprinting.
Gwen Carter - Emmanuel University
Gwen Carter emerged as a dynamic multi‑sport standout at St. Mary’s excelling in varsity basketball, track & field, and flag football throughout her senior year. On the track, she posted a blazing 100 m personal best of 12.34 s, ranking among the top athletes statewide and setting school records in sprint events. On the basketball court, she averaged 19.0 points per game, placing in the top 23 in Arizona, top 5 in 4A, and top 3 in the Desert Sky region for scoring. Gwen also anchored St. Mary’s first ever AIA 4A flag football state championship win with a key touchdown reception capping off a perfect season and showcasing her leadership across sports. Gwen will play flag football at Emmanuel University in the Fall.
Lucy Benjamin - Emory University
Lucy Benjamin is a dedicated senior sprinter at Xavier College Prep who regularly competes in the 200 m, 300 m hurdles, and 400 m dash in the Class of 2025. Her personal bests include a 200 m time of 26.25 s, a 300 m hurdles mark of 46.42 s, and a 400 m dash in 1:01.34, placing her among the top performers in the AIA Division I. Lucy’s leadership and consistency helped Xavier place on relay events like the school record setting 4x200 team in recent seasons. Her commitment to excellence is reflected by her signing with Emory University to continue her track & field career alongside studying Business and Psychology
